SWANSEA, SC – One person was killed and two others were injured in a head-on collision in Lexington County, WIS reports.
The crash happened on St. Matthews Road in Swansea around 6pm on Wednesday, December 1.
According to officials, the incident occurred when a vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a Lexington County firetruck.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Christopher Lykes, 71. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two firefighters in the firetruck were taken to a local hospital with injuries following the accident.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
