HORRY COUNTY, SC – One person was killed in an accident involving two vehicles in Horry County on Friday morning, WMBF reports.
Officials say the accident happened around 11am on Highway 701 near Privetts Road.
The incident occurred when the driver of a 2002 Mercedes-Benz attempted to pass a 2020 Nissan and struck it, causing one of the vehicles to overturn.
The driver of the Mercedes was partially ejected from their vehicle. That individual suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
It is unclear if any occupants of the Nissan were injured in the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
