CHEROKEE COUNTY, SC – A 24-year-old man was killed in a head-on collision on Battleground Road on Tuesday afternoon.
WSPA reports a station wagon crossed into oncoming traffic in the northbound lane of Battleground Road near Cash Peach Road. The station wagon hit a pickup truck around 3:45 p.m.
Local authorities reported the driver of the station wagon died at the crash scene. They identified the driver as 24-year-old Luis Rodriguez of Cowpens.
The pickup driver was transported to Spartanburg Medical Center for unknown injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
