JASPER COUNTY, SC – A suspected impaired driver slammed into a deputy’s vehicle on US 278 near Argent Blvd Sunday, according to WLTX.

Alan Paz-Yanez, 27, was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan SUV at high speeds when he collided with the patrol vehicle around 5 a.m.

Rescue crews transported Pz-Yanez and the deputy to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers charged Paz-Yanez with DUI.
