CAMERON, SC – A driver struck and injured a South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper riding a motorcycle on U.S. 176 near U.S. 301 on Monday, according to WIS.

A truck driver collided with Lance Corporal Zach G. Rickard around 2 p.m.

Crews transported Rickard to an area hospital in stable condition.

The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department’s traffic division is assisting the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the incident.
