MONETTA, SC – According to WLTX, a driver fatally struck a 4-year-old child at Columbia Hwy N and Academy St Sunday.
A Chevrolet SUV driver hit the victim around 11:40 a.m. as they were crossing Columbia Hwy N with their siblings around 11:40 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced the child dead at the scene of the accident.
Neither the driver nor the passenger of the SUV was hurt in the incident.
