LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC – A woman died following a two-vehicle collision at Platt Springs Rd and Sandy Springs Ln, according to The State.
A vehicle heading west on Platt Springs Rd crashed into a car driven by Takkia Sierra Dawkins, 37, as she turned onto Platt Springs Rd from Sandy Springs Ln around 8:30 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Dawkins dead at the scene of the accident and transported Dawkins’s juvenile passenger and the other driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
