CHARLESTON CO., SC – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking on US-17 near Awendaw last Friday night, WCSC reports.
The victim was struck by a Honda Sedan as they were walking in the lanes of travel near Thompson Hill Road.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with Sheriff’s Deputies. It is unclear if that individual will face any charges at this time.
