CHARLESTON, SC – According to WCIV, the Charleston Police Department is investigating a deadly three-vehicle collision that happened at Savannah Hwy and Dobbin Rd on Monday.

A Chevy Malibu driver ran a red light on Dobbin Rd and collided with a Hyundai Elantra and a Dodge Caravan around 5:26 p.m.

Rescue crews pronounced the Malibu driver dead at the scene. They were not wearing a seatbelt.

First responders transported the Elantra driver to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not released the name of the deceased.
