LITTLE MOUNTAIN, SC – According to WACH, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Newberry County Coroner’s Office are investigating a deadly crash that happened at US 76 and Cumalander Crossing on Thursday.
The driver of a 2013 Kia Soul was heading west on US 76 when they strayed off the right side of the road and went down an embankment before hitting a culvert and a parked car around 12:26 p.m. The vehicle then overturned.
Rescue crews pronounced the Kia Soul driver dead at the scene.
Officials have not released the victim’s name.
