CAYCE, SC – A driver struck and killed a man running from the police on I-26 near mile marker 114 on Friday, according to WOLO.

Raheem Jamar Bonham, 30, was fleeing from police when he exited his vehicle during the chase and crossed over the center divider. A driver then hit Bonham in the eastbound lanes around 11:40 p.m.

Rescue crews pronounced Bonham dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
