FOLLY BEACH, SC – According to WIS, officials released additional information regarding the fatal golf cart collision on the 1200 block of E Ashley Ave Friday.

A golf cart was carrying newlywed bride Samantha Miller, 34, her new husband and two others back to their rental home. Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, struck the golf cart’s rear at 65 mph around 10 p.m.

Rescue crews pronounced Miller dead at the scene and transported the other three golf cart occupants to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities smelled alcohol on Komoroski’s breath and person. She informed officers she had been drinking before the crash. Authorities asked her to complete a field sobriety test, but she refused. Komoroski also refused a breath sample. Officers transported her to an area hospital for blood samples.

Authorities charged Komoroski with one count of reckless homicide and three counts of DUI causing serious bodily injury or death.
