DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC – A semi-truck driver died and their passenger was injured in a single-vehicle collision on I-20 Saturday, according to WBTW.
Asim Balcinovic, 53, was driving a Volvo semi-truck east on I-20 when he strayed off the road and collided with a disabled sedan before crashing into multiple trees around 6:20 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Balcinovic dead at the scene of the accident and transported their passenger to an area hospital.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
