SUMTER COUNTY, SC – One person died following a two-vehicle collision at Spencer Rd and US-521 on Wednesday, according to WIS.

A Dodge Grand Caravan was heading south on US 521 when they collided with a driver of a Nissan Versa heading west on Spencer Rd at around 1:40 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the Nissan Versa driver to an area hospital, where they died.

It is unclear if the Dodge Caravan driver was hurt in the incident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
