LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC – One person is dead and another is injured following a two-vehicle crash on I-20 around 5 miles south of Gilbert Thursday, according to WIS.
A person was driving a BMW sedan west in the eastbound lanes of I-20 when they collided with a Ford pickup truck hauling a trailer around 3:45 a.m.
The collision caused the Ford to go off-road and roll over. The BMW also went off the road before slamming into a tree.
Rescue crews transported both drivers to area hospitals, where the BMW driver died.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
