RIDGEWAY, SC – According to WLTX, the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision that happened on US 21 near US 21 Connector on Wednesday.

A male was driving a car on US 21 when they collided with a 1992 semi-truck that was turning left onto US 21 Connector around 6 p.m. The car driver then strayed off the road and crashed into a tree.

Rescue crews transported the car driver to an area hospital, where he died.

The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the incident.

Officials have not released the victim’s name.
