BERKELEY COUNTY, SC – According to WCIV, a woman died following a head-on collision at Old Gilliard Rd and Mudville Rd Saturday.
Christina Washington, 36, was driving an SUV south on Old Gilliard Rd when she strayed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a pickup truck at around 5:45 a.m.
Rescue crews pronounced Washington dead at the scene of the accident and transported a passenger from the pickup truck to an area hospital in unknown condition.
The incident is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office.
